Marketing and Grant Research and Writing
Barbara has over 30 years' experience in marketing, communications, business development and grantwriting for the healthcare, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Most recently with Quadrant HealthCom, Barbara was Director of Business Development for the American Journal of Orthopedics.
Prior to this position, Barbara held positions as Director of Marketing for Ascend Media and Vital Issues in Medicine (VIM), leading medical education firms in the Philadelphia area. During her tenure at Ascend Media and VIM, Barbara wrote medical education grants to secure funding from leading device and pharmaceutical companies to sponsor educational conferences and interactive on-line study programs for physicians, nurses and pharmacists.
Earlier in her career, she held positions in product management and communications with Bemis Healthcare and Wyeth Inc., with responsibility for medical device packaging and consumer package goods. Prior to transitioning into marketing and communications, she practiced corporate and administrative law at Wyeth. She holds a BA from Barnard College and a JD from Antioch School of Law.
Barbara and her husband Mark reside in Swarthmore, PA. Mark is the Chief Financial Officer for Swarthmore College and they have one son, Jefferson, who is a medical social worker with the Mazzoni Center in Philadelphia.
Grant Research and Writing
John Vidumsky is a grant writer, public historian and tour guide based in Philadelphia. He has published 12 articles in the popular news magazine Hidden City Philadelphia. In addition to his writing, John developed and leads the popular Mount Moriah Cemetery tour, which was featured on TV. In his spare time, John plays Celtic harp and does photography. John has a Master's Degree in Russian History and is fluent in the language.
